TE has launched the Nebula Sunny Day Whole Home Wi-Fi BE3600 PoE Edition in China. Priced at 949 yuan (around $140), the three-piece kit promises whole-home Wi-Fi 7 coverage across multi-story houses and large apartments. If the base setup falls short, additional satellite nodes cost 309 yuan each, with the main gateway supporting up to eight units simultaneously.
The real practical advantage here is Power over Ethernet (PoE). The slim 20.7 mm wall-mounted modules eliminate the usual hassle of finding free wall outlets for bulky power bricks. Power and data travel through a single Ethernet cable connected to the main switch, which features five high-speed 2.5GbE ports. Each access point includes one 2.5GbE port alongside three gigabit LAN ports for wired clients. Network configuration and coverage mapping are handled via the ZTE Smart Life app.
The advertised 3,600 Mbps speed rating is merely the combined theoretical maximum across both frequency bands—figures no single smartphone or laptop will ever hit in real-world use.
