hinese hardware maker Chuwi has announced the UniBox AI495 Pro, packing massive compute into a compact three-liter chassis measuring just 210x210x67 mm. Under the hood sits AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ Pro 495 processor, whose standout feature is support for up to 192 GB of high-speed unified LPDDR5X memory.
For practical everyday use, this eliminates the need for bulky, loud full-tower desktops or exorbitantly expensive enterprise graphics cards. The system allows allocating up to 160 GB of unified memory exclusively as video RAM. That is more than enough headroom to run heavy local AI models right at your desk without recurring cloud subscriptions, remote latency, or privacy concerns.
Connectivity has not been cut down either. The compact enclosure accommodates three slots for fast M.2 SSDs, a 10GbE network port, USB4 connectivity, and Wi-Fi 7. Chuwi has effectively engineered a palm-sized workstation that challenges traditional full-size PCs—provided the final retail price lands within a reasonable range.
