nker launched the MagGo 2 Pro power bank with a built-in cooling fan.
110 dollars for a 10,000 milliamp-hour external battery is a hefty sum. For that kind of money, you usually expect not just a charger, but an engineering feat, and Anker tried to pull it off. The company has released the MagGo 2 Pro model to the international market, first shown at the IFA 2026 exhibition. The main detail here is a tiny built-in fan designed to save the smartphone from overheating during wireless charging.
Fan against the laws of physics
Wireless charging under Qi and Qi2 standards is convenient: you snap the battery to the back and walk away. But the technology has a long-standing problem — parasitic heat. When the coils heat up, the phone gets blazing hot, and the smart electronics immediately drop the charging speed to protect the battery. It turns into a vicious circle: you bought a fast charger, but got a slow heater.
In the MagGo 2 Pro, engineers tried to break this circle. Inside the casing, they placed an active fan with two vents and three layers of graphene for heat dissipation.
According to the manufacturer, during wireless charging, the temperature of the MagGo 2 Pro stays around 36 °C.
For comparison, standard analogs under load easily exceed 45 °C. Thanks to cooling, the device can deliver up to 25 watts of power to the smartphone via air without sharp drops in speed. If you need the maximum, a wired connection via the USB-C port outputs up to 45 watts.
What changes in your hands
And now for the honest truth: how convenient this design is in real life. In terms of dimensions, it is a block 71 by 105 by 17.8 millimeters and weighs about 218 grams — effectively a second heavy smartphone attached to yours. A capacity of 10,000 milliamp-hours is enough for about one and a half to two full cycles for an average device.
There are useful little things on the body: a fold-out kickstand and a screen that shows current watts and remaining charge in real time. In the US, they are asking 110 dollars for the novelty, in Germany — 110 euros, and in the UK — 100 pounds. Whether to overpay for active airflow is a question of usage scenarios: if you are used to continuously gaming or watching videos right on the go while charging, the cold casing will save your nerves and speed. In other cases, a cable for a couple of bucks will charge the phone even faster and without buzzing in your pocket.
The bottom line: The Anker MagGo 2 Pro solves the real problem of wireless charging speed drops from overheating using a built-in fan. It is a convenient desktop and travel accessory for those who want maximum Qi2 power up to 25 watts without speed throttling. But you will have to pay for cord-free comfort and the built-in fan as much as for a full-fledged budget smartphone.
